Update your WordPress site by text

A new service, new photos, new hours. Text CrewBuddy what changed and it writes a page or post draft on your own WordPress site.

Text it like this

Fictional example.

You: Add a page about our new deck staining service. Same style as the painting page.
CrewBuddy: Draft saved: "Deck Staining". It covers prep, stain choices and the towns you serve, taken from your painting page. I left the price blank. Read it in WordPress and tell me what to change.

What it can do on your site

CrewBuddy connects to WordPress with its own user and an application password. It can read your posts and pages, write new drafts and publish one draft you have read after you reply with a one-time code. It cannot delete anything or change a page that is already live.

Changes to a live page go through us as part of your plan: CrewBuddy writes the new text, and we update the page with you.

What a good change request looks like

One change per text works best: the page, what to add or take out, and any facts that go with it. "Add Smithtown and Commack to the service areas page" is enough. So is "New page for gutter cleaning, same layout as the window cleaning page, no prices." CrewBuddy can also draft a short post about a finished job or a seasonal service from your notes.

Setting it up

In your WordPress admin, add a separate user with the Editor role, not Administrator. Open that user's profile and create an application password. You enter the site address, the username and the password on your private setup page, never in a text. WordPress explains application passwords in its integration guide.

Because CrewBuddy has its own user, you can end its access at any time by deleting that application password. Your own login is never shared.

Pages that sound like your business

CrewBuddy writes from what you tell it and what is already on your site: your services, the towns you work in, your hours and the way you talk to customers. It does not make up prices, reviews, awards or service areas. Anything it does not know is left as a clear blank for you to fill.

A page for one service in one area also makes a good place to send Google ads, so the person who clicked lands on the work they searched for.

Not on WordPress?

With the website module, an add-on priced before you start, we work on the site you already have or build you a new one, with 4 edits a month. A new site has a $499 setup. You see a preview before a change goes live. Wix, Squarespace and other site builders do not connect to CrewBuddy, so we make those edits for you. Your domain and your site stay in your name, and you can take them with you if you leave.

See the website module on pricing for website work, or Google Ads for sending ads to a service page.
