Thumbtack

Thumbtack lead replies for contractors

Prepare a specific first reply from the lead details you share or the browser access you authorize.

Reply to the actual request

Draft a greeting, useful scope questions and a next step from the Thumbtack message. Keep prices and visit dates unpromised unless confirmed. Start with Reply to the actual request.

Explain estimate choices

Use your priced scope to explain two choices when a customer asks about cost. Do not invent a discount to keep the lead interested. Start with Explain estimate choices.

Keep follow-ups current

Compare the latest lead-site reply with the estimate list before drafting another message. An old screenshot may omit a decision. Start with Keep follow-ups current.

What you provide

Share the lead screenshot and latest thread, or authorize the site through Logins during private setup. You may need to complete Thumbtack sign-in yourself. The vendor also documents self-serve webhooks, but receiving one requires separate configuration and does not establish permission to send replies.

Limits to know

A lead screenshot is not live inbox access. No Thumbtack API or webhook is assumed active. Browser work depends on the account and allowed site actions. Lead charges and customer matching stay with Thumbtack; CrewBuddy cannot promise a hire or reverse a lead fee.
