New leads
Answer lead-site requests in the site’s own inbox
Lead sites and neighborhood apps each have their own inbox. Send CrewBuddy a screenshot of the request and it writes a reply you can paste straight in.

Each site has its own pace
On quote-request sites like Thumbtack and Angi, the customer usually wants a price range and a sense of whether you do this kind of job. Answer that, then ask for the one or two details you need. Yelp messages are often questions before booking, like whether you work weekends. Nextdoor is different: neighbors read the thread, so a plain, helpful reply with your name works better than a sales pitch.
Include the whole request in your screenshot, including anything the customer already wrote back. CrewBuddy reads photos, and if part of the message is cut off it asks you for the missing part instead of guessing.
Keep lead-site requests with your other leads
Leads from five places are easy to lose. Ask CrewBuddy to add the request to your open list with the site, the job and the date. When you ask “what leads are waiting on me?” it lists them together, oldest first. It can also remind you to check the site for a reply later in the day.
The reply uses your Business Brief, so prices and service area come from what you have confirmed. If the request is for work you do not do, the draft says so politely. A short honest no keeps your profile looking responsive.
For your own website form or texts from new numbers, use the first reply recipe. The same shape works there: two questions and a next step. If a lead site charges you for each lead, sending CrewBuddy the screenshot right after the alert means the reply goes out while the request is still new.
What you send
A screenshot of the request or post, with the date, what the customer asked for, and anything already said in the thread.
What CrewBuddy prepares
A reply that fits the site: short and specific for a quote request, friendly and low-key for a neighborhood recommendation thread.
What to keep in mind
CrewBuddy does not log in to Thumbtack, Angi, Yelp or Nextdoor. You paste and send the reply there, following each site’s own rules for messages.
