Website and Netlify

Keep the website current by text

New service, new town, holiday hours: text the change and CrewBuddy updates the site, checks it and puts it live when you send the code.

Text it like this

Fictional example.

You: Add Linden to my service area and say we’re closed Dec 24 to Jan 1.
CrewBuddy: Updated Service area and the home page notice, checked on a phone and a computer. Screenshots are on your private page. Text back the code I just sent to put it live.

What it builds

Small, fast sites made of plain pages: home, services, service area, about and a quote request. The quote button opens a ready-written text to your phone, so each request reaches you as a message and the site never stores what visitors type. Pages start from a tested layout, so menus and buttons work on a phone.

Photos cannot be placed on the site yet, so the look comes from your colors and lettering. A captioned before-and-after video from the Media add-on can go on a page.

Checked before it is public

After each change, CrewBuddy builds a preview and checks it: phone and computer screenshots, menus that can be reached, buttons that work, no errors and nothing that scrolls sideways. You see the screenshots on your private page first, or a private preview on your own devices if Tailscale is set up.

Publishing takes a one-time code tied to that exact version. If something is wrong after it goes live, CrewBuddy can put the previous version back the same way.

Hosting and your domain

Sites are published to Netlify, a website host, and we set up the hosting and your domain name with you. Sites already on WordPress do better with the WordPress connection. Ads in Google Ads can point to the new site once it is live.

What to send for a change

Short is fine: “add gutter cleaning, $150 to $250 for most single-story homes” or “take Brookfield off the service area.” CrewBuddy finds the right page, makes the change and sends the screenshots. A bigger change, like a new page for commercial work, starts with a short plan and one question.

Honest claims and your license number

The site says only what you confirm is true today. Words like free estimates, licensed or insured go on it when you say so. Many states want the license or registration number on advertising and websites, so CrewBuddy adds yours to the footer when your state requires it and you give it the number.

If you already have a site

If your site was built on a platform like Wix or Squarespace, CrewBuddy can write the new text for you to paste in, and the Website add-on is for when you would rather have a small site it looks after itself.

Keep a list of small changes as they come up and send them together. One preview, one code, done.
